As you're probably aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and many in blogland have committed to doing a pink post sometime during the month as a reminder. Great idea, don't you think?
My mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor, and we are very grateful that she has done so well and is currently the picture of health!
The rest of this post is rather random, but the inspiration is all in pink!

There are a tish too many flowers for me in the first photo in this post, but the way they broke up the "pinkness" with splashes of turquoise is interesting.

What do you think of reversible window treatments? I've always been intrigued by the idea because I get bored and it would be nice to just flip the panels around for a new look. I do like neutral lining facing the outside though, so...

When you need a bedroom that can multitask, a desk can be used in place of a nightstand. This may violate the "peaceful retreat" idea for some, but there are times when you may not have a lot of other options. I've used this idea before and it's worked very well.
