I am very happy to report that "Business Insider" published my complete post regarding the investigative book about Sarah Palin's pregnancy which is to be published soon, according to our reliable information.

I congratulate the editor Henry Blodget for his courage to give the "doubters" of Sarah Palin's pregnancy a voice - the people that the Palin-fans started to call "Trig Truthers." Which is us.

Funnily, the right-wingers at "Free Republic" just a few moments ago published my complete post as well, which I am also very happy about. ;-)

This is now the second time that Politicalgates managed to place an article in a major mainstream publication - first my partner Kathleen Baker at "The Guardian", now myself at "Business Insider."

Sarah Palin, it's already "Game Over", and I think you know it.

Sarah Palin and Demi Moore – Two Pictures are Worth 1000 Words

Professor Brad Scharlott follows up on his breakthrough research paper on the “spiral of silence” about Sarah Palin’s faked pregnancy. In this guest post, he reminds us of the progress made in bringing Babygate to light, with the series of conversations between him and Laura Novak, along with the posts in Business Insider and a link by the WSJ, among other leaks in the dike (obviously not built by the Dutch or Norwegians). Then, Professor Sharlott compares the photo of Mrs. Palin at (purportedly) 7 months pregnant with the famous photo of Demi Moore at that stage. Suffice it to say that these pictures are proof positive of Palin’s lie. Well done!

Review of Geoffrey Dunn’s Book

We are starting to see reviews of Geoffrey Dunn’s excellent account of Sarah Palin’s true history, from her dysfunctional childhood to her dysfunctional stint as mayor of Wasilla to her dysfunctional term as Governor and her extremely dysfunctional candidacy for VP and her growing insanity since. The book weaves together many first person accounts to create a detailed portrait of Palin’s fascinating but destructive pathology. While many of our readers are well-versed in all things Palin, the book provides additional details about her personal history. Dunn did not adequately address Babygate or several other controversies, but his book nevertheless provides a very solid, in-depth portrait that is not in the least flattering. It will be eye-opening and damning to many who do not follow her as closely as we do.

Patrick, Kathleen and Julia O’Malley on Twitter

Maybe Julia O’Malley uses Twitter because she thinks it’s for twits? And that she is. O’Malley was completely out of her league going up against Patrick and Kathleen on Twitter. She displayed her ignorance, lack of curiosity and critical thinking, indifference to her readers’ “comprehension” of what she writes, snide dismissiveness of her readers, bad judgment, illogic, self-righteousness, and lack of professionalism (I could go on). It’s hard to believe that ADN cannot find a more competent and professional writer than O’Malley.

A funny phenomenon took place on PoliticalGates this past week – many of our readers went silent for days at a time, apparently simultaneously engrossed in a new book. Hehehe. Many, many thanks to P&K and the PoliticalGates readers who donated copies of Geoffrey Dunn’s book – what a terrific and generous gesture! I’m way behind the rest of you as I only got the book yesterday – hope to catch up soon!

SLQ provided some insights (early Friday Dunn review thread) into the peculiarities of Sarah’s official calendar entries for April 17-18, 2008. [Question from BBT: Does this not say that she stayed for an event in the afternoon, at 2:30? And that the social event was the night before (which makes sense), not the same night as her speech? This calendar was obviously revised after the events, so changes in her schedule would have been accounted for.]

Kim Chatman expressed the prevailing view: Geoffrey Dunn's book is great, a must read. His extensive research truly exposes the "Real Sarah Palin." He validates what those of us that have been working to expose her have been saying all along.

I've doubted your story since the moment YOUR father told KTUU reporters on the evening news that your water broke in Texas and you flew back to Alaska. My BS meter went off the charts! Osama Bin Laden was killed earlier today. Shortly after taking office President Obama made it known to his intelligence staff that capturing or killing Bin laden was a priority for his administration. Last August he received information that Bin Laden was hiding in a compound in Pakistan.

Finally this week there was enough information for President Obama to signal a strike against the compound which was made today. It was undertaken by a small group of operatives (CIA?). Bin laden was killed in the attack on the compound and his body taken in custody. No Americans were killed in the operation but I have no information yet if any citizens were killed, although President Obama did say that they tried to avoid any civilian deaths.

Crowds are now gathering outside the White House and they are supportive of President Obama and joyful that Bin Laden has been killed. I'm concerned about the likely ensuing retaliation even if I believe that the death of Bin Laden was an inevitable and just one.

Sarah Palin on hearing the news of Bin Laden's death twittered her congratulations to the American men and women in uniform but neglected to honor the Commander in Chief for getting the job done. Huge mistake on her behalf but not entirely unexpected. I suppose that Palin still has hopes that Julian Assange will be hunted down in much the same way and that his death will resurrect her ailing poll figures.

Many twitter users are predicting that Bin Laden's death under the watch of President Obama will finally end any ideas that Sarah Palin has entertained about running during the 2012 presidency race. However, I still believe that she is narcissistic enough to run, although I don't suppose that she could continue to use the line " Obama hanging around with terrorists" in the next campaign.

The Guardian delivers a good moment by moment account including the following at 2.50am by Sarah Palin from her facebook which it says is both churlish and in character for her because she refuses to give credit to President Obama:

Americans tonight are united in celebration and gratitude. God bless all the brave men and women in our military and our intelligence services who contributed to carrying out the successful mission to bring bin Laden to justice and who laid the groundwork over the years to make this victory possible. It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of these brave Americans who relentlessly hunted down our enemy.

Politico Jumps Into the Fray

Politico reports that “anti-Palin bloggers,” including Patrick and PoliticalGates, have gotten under Palin’s skin, but haven’t succeeded in exposing Palin. While continuing to lend credence to those who claim to have discredited Babygate, Ken Vogel’s article reports that additional revelations are likely in the spate of books to be released in the coming months. Vogel acknowledges a number of revelations about Palin that came from the bloggers. Patrick adds to the list, which is pretty damn impressive, if you ask me! It’s certainly more impressive than anything that has come from the MSM. In fact, Kathleen and Patrick have been instrumental to the progress that has been made in exposing Sarah Palin’s fake pregnancy, including the discovery of the “Nail in Coffin” and other key photos and writing many outstanding posts laying out the facts about Babygate and Palin’s numerous other scandals. They have also worked tirelessly behind the scenes. The list of their scoops is really impressive – I certainly hope that the MSM will give credit where credit is long overdue.

Interview with Professor Brad Scharlott, and More “Debunkers”

A major breakthrough occurred with the release of Professor Scharlott’s paper questioning whether a “spiral of silence” occurred in regard to Sarah Palin’s story of the birth of Trig. This post highlights a recent radio interview of Scharlott by Peter Collins, in which they delve pretty deeply into the discrepancies in Palin’s story (or, more to the point, stories). Collins was well prepared and the interview is very engaging. Then, Patrick points out: “If you always wondered how dissenters are being silenced and "consent is manufactured", now you can watch it in real-time!” The “spiral of silence” continues to evolve before our very eyes, as “liberal” pundits fall over themselves to label those who question Palin’s story as the lunatic fringe, and absolve Palin of any need or responsibility to produce documentary evidence to support her implausible tale. Even those of us who have seen this in action before were taken aback by Jason Linkins’ ignorant and insulting tweets (he aptly labels himself “dceiver”).

Megan Carpentier’s Fact-Free Approach to Journalism

Patrick’s post illustrates how the article written by Megan Carpentier for The Guardian is “mindless ranting,” devoid of any basis in fact. She is so excited about being able to write an article with words like “misogyny” and “vagina” that she neglected to see if it made any sense. It does not. Jason Easley of Politicususa points this out quite effectively in a new post. Patrick also highlights Carpentier’s childish and dismissive tone toward Kim Chatman, whose honesty and courage is not within the range of Carpentier’s apparently narrow life experience. Patrick also reveals some of the behind-the-scenes work that he has done, including this email exchange last year with The Guardian highlighting much of the work that he and others did at Palingates. I want to give a special tip of the hat to TurtleTears and other PoliticalGates readers who posted on The Guardian and here about their personal experiences fighting for women’s rights -- thank you for all you’ve done! I hope Ms. Carpentier learns a little humility in the face of what women like you have accomplished.

This is a thoughtful, calm and well-reasoned piece that succinctly covers the major themes of Babygate and reminds readers that asking these questions is entirely appropriate, given Palin’s nomination as VP and her continuing efforts to exert influence and gain power in America. Kathleen’s piece makes excellent use of many links to educate readers about all the work that has been done by PoliticalGates and others to expose Sarah Palin. Ennealogic Teaches Carpentier how to use Occam’s Razor

Ennealogic proves that “logic” is rightly part of her name, schooling Ms. Carpentier about how to actually USE Occam’s Razor, rather than just spouting clever but vacuous statements about it. Was Sarah Palin pregnant in 2008, or did she perpetrate a hoax? Ennealogic lays out the verifiable facts applicable to those two possibilities. The evaluation and conclusion are so clear and transparent that they should be publicized far and wide. This is not a close call – the evidence of a hoax is overwhelming. I certainly hope that so-called journalists of the ilk of Ms. Carpentier will take heed of how easily manipulated they have been by “skilled liar” Sarah Palin. It is time for the media to stop enabling her lies.

In the middle of this week, President Obama authorized the release of his long-form birth certificate. We call upon Sarah Palin to authorize the state of Alaska to publicly release Trig’s birth certificate and the medical records pertaining to his birth for examination and authentication by unbiased observers. Since she claims she did this (but no one actually saw it), what is the problem?

Another from BfromC: Message to Linkins and fellow fools -- McGinnis and Dunn have each spent well over a year researching their books on Sarah Palin, with much time spent in Alaska. McGinniss even lived next door for a while. Both of these acclaimed authors have doubts about Palin's birth story and have asked questions. That is what investigative writers do.

You listen to a couple of guys who call themselves journalists, who happen to have unusual connections to the Palin administration, who "believe the bump" and you throw your critical thinking skills in the drink. Good luck with that decision in the future.

Telling rape victims they must pay with their own money to have the crime of rape against their bodies investigated is misogynistic. Denying health care to women and children who are poor or struggling is misogynistic. Telling women who have been brutally raped and find themselves pregnant as a result, that they must be forced to carry the fetus to term is misogynistic. C4P Banned “Birtherism”: WHY?

I have rarely gone on the Conservatives4Palin website and never read their posts, but I have seen lots of comments about what is posted there and what is censored. So I share the question that Kilob raises in this guest post: Why did C4P recently ban discussion of President Obama’s birth and the legitimacy of the birth certificate that he produced? There is a growing schism in the Republican Party about this question, among those who are loud “birthers” and those who are trying to douse this issue. Interestingly, C4P claims Palin is among the latter group, but the reality is that she is playing both sides of the issue, as she has done with many other issues over the years. But their censorship on this issue is still curious; could it be that they do not want to draw attention to birth certificates? Kilob suggests that perhaps they have figured out that Palin is being less than honest about the birth of Trig.

Geoffrey Dunn weighs in on “Babygate”

Professor Brad Scharlott’s paper has opened up the long-suppressed discussion of Sarah Palin’s implausible tale of her last “pregnancy” and the birth of Trig. Dunn makes the point that Palin’s tale of labor and childbirth reveals such irresponsible behavior that it is damning in its own right. His piece brings up numerous aspects of the story that range from highly questionable to downright unbelievable. Equally important as Dunn’s article itself is the fact that his article was originally to be published by the Huffington Post, but they censored it as a “conspiracy theory.” As pointed out by several readers, the double standard is alive and well at HuffPo, which has published and continues to publish numerous stories of far more dubious validity than the well-documented story of Palin’s hoax. For those who ascribe to the Reckless Ride story, I simply say: there would be no need for all the lies and cover-up and failure to produce documentation, if Sarah’s story were true. If she could make this story go away, she would have done so long ago. But she can’t.

Palin’s Approval Ratings Tanking in Alaska

Kathleen has a good antidote to all the craziness about possible Republican candidates: news that Palin’s approval ratings in Alaska are going downhill faster than Lindsey Vonn. A recent poll shows her favorable:unfavorable ratings in Alaska as 36%:61%. For a politician who once held favorable ratings of 86% in Alaska, this crash should be a wakeup call. (But, knowing Sarah’s delusional psyche, it won’t.) We can only hope that this trend translates to the country as a whole and that the collective sanity of the American people will prevail over the collective insanity of the right-wing of the Republican Party (as assisted by Diebold and other “voting irregularities”).

Leadfoot and Bella Report for the Internet People

Leadfoot and her 8-year old daughter, Bella, have a gift for reporting on Sarah Palin’s made-for-TV escapades in the most witty and insightful way. How wonderful to hear from them again, on the august occasion of E! Hollywood’s mini-biopic on Sarah, which also serves as a preview for the rewriting of her personal history for the upcoming campaign. We all especially loved this blatant lie: “You never know she is pregnant until about a month before she gives birth.” Bwahahaha! Bella’s comments were the pure insights of a child: “dummy liar” and “no wonder” Sarah had no friends and “yay” when it was over! A special H/T to Kathleen, who pulled out the photos of Sarah Palin pregnant with Piper, proving that the statement about Palin not showing until the last month of her pregnancy is a “made for TV” lie.

Leadfoot’s Questions about Babygate: A Challenge to Real Journalists

Leadfoot has had it with the casual relationship of self-proclaimed investigative journalists with the facts about Palin’s “story of Trig.” So, she drafted a list of very probing questions that a reporter worth his/her salt should ask the principal players in this long-running soap opera. With some helpful additions from our readers, this list would make an excellent guide to any real journalist who wanted to win a Pulitzer Prize for breaking open the hoax of the millennium (and I include Bernie Madoff’s). Ironically, there are quite a few “progressive journo-lists” who are now coming to Palin’s defense; I suspect this is a further stage of the “spiral of silence” theory, where those who have failed to investigate and report the truth now feel obliged to “prove” that the story has no merit (better known as CYA).

Patrick Debunks the Debunker

Justin Elliott has now proclaimed himself an expert on “Trig Trutherism,” which he self-importantly deems to be a lot of bunk, based on his own woefully inadequate “investigation.” His meme has been picked up by other “liberal” media, including Salon, HuffPo, the Village Voice and The New Republic. Patrick painstakingly demonstrates that censorship on this subject began with the “journo-lists” led by Ezra Klein, and continues today. The so-called “liberal media” didn’t want to investigate it in 2008 for purely political reasons, and the same is apparently true of many of them (but thankfully not all) in 2011. Patrick then examines Elliott’s “evidence” and “witnesses.” First up: eyewitness report by Steve Quinn, Palin aide Ivy Frye’s lover who, as we know from Frank Bailey’s manuscript, was regularly used as a stooge by the Palin administration. Next up: Wesley Loy, ADN reporter who reveals that he (like Quinn) got a private viewing of Palin’s enlarged abdomen. (How weird is that, on its face?) Despite reporting in March 2008 that she “simply doesn’t look pregnant,” he now says he “missed some clues.” If he knew she was pregnant in 2008, why did he research the “Grandma Governor Fakes Birth” question during the summer legislative session, which took place from June-August 2008? Oops. Another “eyewitness” claimed Palin “definitely looked pregnant” in late February – yet the photos from that time and later in March show exactly the opposite. Interesting how these reporters ignore the evidence that does not support their claim. A note from BBT: I have no problem with honest disagreements about this subject, and especially whether, strategically, it is better to let Palin stew in the juice of her own tall tale or to hold her accountable for the many, many gaping holes in her story. But I do have problems with writers who, on the basis of a few conversations and a few days reading, appoint themselves as experts and demean the work of those who, on the basis of several years work, conclude otherwise. I question what these "journolists" hope to accomplish by being so insultingly divisive and alienating some of their own natural allies and constituency. It seems rather self-defeating. If some folks want to disagree, fine, but I would hope they would do so respectfully and quit the insinuations about "tin foil hat wearers." Otherwise, they may find few to help them when they are choking on humble pie.

I don’t want any of you to miss this comment from Brad S: Loy is faking now with what he just wrote at Salon. I have a fall 2008 email from Alaska newsman Gregg Erickson saying Loy was actively investigating the "Grand[m]a" Palin birth hoax in the summer of 2008, *after* she showed him her belly. So he did not buy it back then. And notice how in what he just wrote, he did not say he bought it -- he just described the scene, then stopped. So he did not lie, but he deliberately gave a false impression that he had changed his mind in the spring of 2008. Why would he do that? Same reason that O'Malley recently turned into an attack dog? There's some major pressure being applied on those people.

Anothersally: Isn't Justin's whole article debunked by Sarah's own words that she had such tight abs that she didn't show? He lies.
